Medical Training
Our medical program trains civilians and emergency professionals using both blended and in-person courses. For information about specific classes, see the class list below.
Active Violence Emergency Response Training (AVERT)
Active Violence Emergency Response Training (AVERT), AKA “active shooter training”, is an HSI program training civilians how to respond during an active threat. The course includes a medical component that covers life threatening bleeding, the application of a tourniquet (“TQ”), as well as responding to the active threat itself.
Emergency Response Assistance Network (ERAN)
Emergency Response Assistance Network (ERAN) is our network of associated organizations and companies that commit to have trained members/employees that will assist in an emergency until Emergency Services arrive and take over. The companies and organizations also commit to allowing Emergency Services to train and stage at their locations. ERAN members are more likely to have positive outcomes during a time of need.
